The current theme is ' Poldark's Cornwall' which, with its universal appeal, promises to be a major attraction to one & all. We hope that as you walk down Fore Street you will pause outside the Museum & spend a little time looking at the new window display. The map of Cornwall with photographs of the various film set locations & characters is designed to encourage visitors to follow the hand that beckons them to step inside the museum. Once inside we hope you will pick up a Poldark Trail sheet & look in the cabinets at the many artefacts that would have played a part in everyday life in Winston Graham's Poldark novels. Whilst in the 1st room don't forget to look at the reproduction 18th century corset made from an authentic 18th century pattern. Many thanks to Deborah [ Museum Window Organiser]for yet another inspired display, to Morgan [Deborah's daughter] who made the corset, & to Joanna [Museum Mentor], for helping to date some of the items depicted in the trail.
